TORC and ERX Motor Park primed for the Kenda Final Rounds: a Championship Tripleheader

Over the past four months, TORC: The Off-Road Championship Series presented by AMSOIL has romped around the Midwest, bringing high-octane thrills and dirt-slinging action at every stop. Titans of the sport have added to their legacy and new phenoms have made their mark. We’ve seen close calls, tight finishes, and incredible crashes. It seems that the 2017 season has had it all… but we’re not done yet.

Traditionally, the Labor Day Crandon World Championships have marked the conclusion of the Midwest’s short course racing season. But this year, the rumbling mass that is the TORC Series can’t be stopped from rolling into autumn. So grab the sunscreen, hats, and racing gear one last time: this season’s finish line is at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, MN, and the stage is set for an epic, three-round all out sprint to the finish.

2017’s first trip to ERX Motor Park in June was one of highs and lows. The still-new and constantly-improving facility shone brightly in Round 3, offering huge thrills and tight racing action throughout the ranks. But Mother Nature cut the weekend short, as a historic storm barreled in early Sunday morning, bringing hurricane-force winds and pounding rain. The damage to the facility and team pits made racing that day impossible, and Round 4 had to be postponed.

On September 22-24, the TORC Series will make its third ever visit to ERX Motor Park, bigger and better than ever. June’s Round 4 has been added to the schedule for Friday, September 22, to be completed in its entirety (PRO and Sportsman). Tickets for Round 4’s June date will be honored on the rescheduled date, and spectator entry for Friday’s races is just $5. With camping available, free entry for kids ages 11 and under, a bonus Saturday night concert featuring Maiden Dixie, and Friday’s races included with a $40 weekend pass, the season finale an outstanding value experience for the whole family.

The race course at ERX is the perfect stage for a championship event. The wide racing path and split-lane section offer multiple racing lines and the opportunity to pass all over the track. The tight corners and sections of bumpy, natural terrain keep even the most experienced racers honest and level the playing field. It all takes place on one of the newest and most gorgeous off-road racing facilities in the country.

With three rounds still to be run, all championship points races are up for grabs, and anything can happen. With nothing to lose and nothing to save for, racers will put it all on the line one final time in 2017. Some drivers will experience the unmatched celebration of season-long efforts resulting in the ultimate payoff. Others will experience the heartbreak of coming painstakingly close only to fall just short in the final weekend. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the 2017 season’s epic conclusion: Buy your tickets now for the Kenda Final Rounds at ERX Motor Park. Racing kicks off bright and early at 10:30AM on Friday, September 22nd.
