Indy Lights Winner, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the Indy Lights Championship, Indy 500 starter. X Games Bronze medalist in Truck Racing (2015). Represented Netherlands in A1GP “Most Popular Driver” for four consecutive years. Has raced 12 Hours of Sebring (2007) and Daytona 24hrs (2004).

The son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and Indy speed record holder Arie Luyendyk, racing has always been the natural path for Luyendyk Jr.

“I love the rawness and competition of off-road racing,” he says. “It tests every aspect of a driver and it challenges me every time I step into the truck.”

After starting his career in open wheel and road racing, Luyendyk Jr. switched to off-road racing after a TORC Series test late in 2013 with Cooper Tire. He scored a podium early in his rookie season, finishing 3rd in the PRO 2WD race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2014.

Luyendyk Jr. credits his grandfather with starting the family passion for racing that has now been passed down through two generations. His father won the Indy 500 twice (in 1990 and 1997) and has mentored the younger Luyendyk throughout his career.

In 2016, Luyendyk has a new truck for his third full season campaign on the PRO 2WD championship.
