

TORC Drivers to Visit Nellis Air Force Base
Corona, CA (October 19, 2009)–Drivers from the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL will be spending the a few hours at the Nellis Air Force Base this Thursday from 1pm to 3pm. TORC will be displaying several trucks at the Air Force Base, off road's finest will be signing autographs for soldiers and their families.
"This is a chance for all involved with TORC to give back to those who have sacrificed for us," stated Red Bull driver Steve Barlow. "This is time to let these soldiers and their families know that their effort to protect the security of this country that they are appreciated. They are the reason that we have the freedom to race, and to be individuals."
"We want to visit with the kids and their families and let them spend the day doing something exciting- without worrying about their illnesses. TORC sponsors and race teams have really come together to donate many items for the kids and their families and we couldn't be happier about this event."
The "Home of the Fighter Pilot," Nellis Air Force Base is home to the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, the largest and most demanding advanced air combat training mission in the world. At Nellis, we provide training for composite strike forces which include every type of aircraft in the Air Force inventory. Training is conducted in conjunction with air and ground units of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and air forces from our allied nations. The crews do not come to learn how to fly, but instead how to be the best combat aviators in the world.
