"I never grew up around racing, and didn't start racing anything until I was 29 years old. I started racing MX on a whim - it looked fun, and I needed a distraction. Turns out I loved it, and I was good at it, and I haven't stopped racing since. I got into short-course racing in late 2007 after seeing a CORR race in person. I began racing a UTV in the stock class, and moved up into the Pro UTV class soon after. In 2009, we designed and built the first SR1 prototype, and raced it at one round of LOORRS. The following year we had a whole class, and I started winning races with a class that was truly a drivers class. I won my first short-course races in 2010, my first Championship in 2011, and have been winning ever since, thanks to a very smart husband and a great crew!
2012 I moved into the Pro 4 class in LOORRS, where I was on the podium numerous times, and won Rookie of the Year. I raced the Pro 4 until 2015, when I took a break from all of the prep work of owning a truck program, and went back to racing UTVs.
In 2016, I became one of Yamaha's only two Factory UTV racers, piloting their new YXZ1000R to Yamaha's first Championship for the YXZ by winning the first TORC Pro Stock Championship class in its debut year. I followed that up with multiple wins in the Lucas Oil Regional Series', where my Yamaha teammate and I dominated the podium, and finished 2nd (behind my teammate) for both of those Championships in 2016.
To cap off 2016, I won every SR1 Championship available, being the first racer in history to win the ""SR1 Triple Crown"".
For 2017 I am looking forward to racing in the Prod 1000 class again, as well as in the SR1 class in several different series!"
Favorite venue: Bark River and Elk River
Racing: "Short-course racing is like MX with bigger vehicles - all of the close quarter battles, racing other drivers all out, the huge jumps, and mastering your vehicle and your driving skills - nothing compares to short-course racing! "
